Credit Reporting
We are members of the credit bureau, known as Trans Union Services, which maintains a database for consumers and companies all across North America.
Should a debtor fail to remit payment in a timely fashion, they will automatically be listed on that person's credit bureau under the Collections & Judgments section. This listing will be updated monthly, and will reflect whether this account is paid or not.
Should the person apply for credit, a new apartment, or for bank services and a Trans Union report is requested on that debtor, it will show our client's outstanding debt, our name, and our phone number. It is likely that the debtor will be denied credit until this account is paid.
As we receive calls from debtors on a regular basis who have found our company listed on their bureau, we know that this strategy works, to commit uncooperative and unlocated debtors to pay.
